In his own words:“I am a fat man. I am one of many. I am not special in any way, and I have no medical condition or physical handicap to excuse my weight. I am lazy, lack motivation and want the easy way to everything. I am a fat man, my name is Alisdair.” I tell myself this everyday, every morning. It’s my way of waking me up to what’s really going on. It helps me remember that I am 26 years old, weigh 240lbs and am sitting at 34.5% body fat. It reminds me I am not just fat, but clinically obese. I am at high risk of heart disease, diabetes and numerous other illnesses I’d rather not develop.
